Everyone Daughters And sons From your windows Listen to the hum of All Things And be still Everyone Daughters And sons From your rooms Feel the longing reach of All Things And be still The world is a reed flute And God does breathe through it Sing from your rooms Everyone Daughters And sons From your houses Sing your holy notes with All things And be still The world is a reed flute And God does breathe through it Sing from your rooms

Staring out of windows feeling the wind blow All careless in the freedom of its way And i been wearing these same clothes for days Stuck here in a room Humming with the drone Out for potatoes In this strange hiatus In all of the racing that we do Holding back a cough in a queue Everybody breathe I’m scared as all of ye And we’re all gazing out of windows for the world we used to know Instead we see a paradise All strange and untouchable below And the world is revealed With birdsong-echo in the streets And oh so many melancholy sundowns In this sabbath of griefs The wheels are a turning And sirens a blurring And hospitals a rattling with the strain And dying come in number, never names Again and again Let the tears never end And all of the nurses And doctors are working With their gaze down the barrel of a gun Supermarket shelves are empty when they’re done Everything is gone Sold out, so long And we're all applauding out of windows for salt of the earth And we’re all a waiting for this fever to be breaking and to burst And the world is revealed With birdsong-echo in the streets And oh so many melancholy sundowns In this sabbath of griefs Alone in our lounges Or locked in with families Wide-eyed and losing our minds Becoming unwilling friends of time Of body and of place A scowl on every face And the aged stories Being lost, with their glory, And graves that none shall stand by Leaning how to say goodbye With a hanky in yr eye In the a screen’s blue light And we’re all a groaning out of windows for the dear ones lost And we’re all torn between the laughter And incalculable cost And the world is revealed With birdsong-echo in the streets And oh so many melancholy sundowns In this sabbath of griefs While we’re all waiting And isolating The animals all wander the streets Where all our scurrying feet Used to come and go In our unknowing griefs Scratching and restless Behind all that vexes is a beast that waits behind the door His name is Business As Usual And he wants it all Back the way it was before And we’re all praying out of windows for the soul of the earth Oh for a New Thing Oh for the Day of Rebirth And the world is revealed With birdsong-echo in the streets And oh so many melancholy sundowns In this sabbath of griefs The powers’er receding And some are believing Its time we forgave all our debts Its time for the clocks to reset And call a jubilee For you and for me And all are awaiting For the world to awaken From this strange and apocalyptic dream but not not back to how it used to be Remember what was seen In this sabbath of griefs

40 days and nights Amidst the singing beasts of the wild And angels did attend ye who were tested Zoe and Sofia there, where your tired bones rested 40 days and nights Sheltering from outside And the weather on us never it relented Came down hard until all was up-ended 40 days and nights Amidst the strange steadiness of time And in rolling fevers shall ye befriend it Finally to turn your hurting gaze and attend it 40 days and nights Journey to the mountainside And the truth shall not be found in sound and fury But only in the silence between the quietness of your breathing
